EBONI HOUSTON

Eboni Houston hails from Northern California where she started her dance training with a local All Star Competitive Dance Team headed by Hollie and Heather Bettencourt...  “In dancing with the All Stars, I was introduced to dancing with discipline, dancing with an honorable work ethic, to the beauty of dancing with others as a team, to encouraging others and myself... Dancing with the Bettencourt’s and our All Star teammates brought out the best dancer in me and inspired me to pursue the incredible world of dance.”  And so she did at California State University, Long Beach, where she danced on their award winning team, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance and Performance and stayed on to teach dance as an associate faculty member.  In addition, Ms. Houston danced and performed as a principal with the innovative Dorcas Roman Dance Theatre Company in several productions and the International Afiya West African Dance Ensemble at numerous venues around the Southland.  In her spare time she taught dance at various studios and dance academies.  Currently, Ms. Houston resides in Chalon-sur-Saône France where she continues her dance training and that of her two beautiful children. “I will always be grateful to Hollie and Heather and the rest of the All Stars for igniting such a passion within me.
